Paula Clancy
Protagonist
In the story time frame, she is seventeen in 1986. She is the sole child of Elec & Flora. Raised on a ranch, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty. Not to be out done by her Pa, she proves she has strength in her small frame. Except for her dog Hobo, she has always been a loner, never really connecting with others her age. She's always up for an adventure, showing no fear for the unknown. She enjoys riding her Shire horse, Dolly. Paula loves life on the ranch and cannot see a life anywhere else, but she longs for a real friend.
Azar / Sky Eyes
Miccilian
Sky Eyes is what most people believe to be the legendary Bigfoot, but he is much, much, more than that. He was born in the Dire Mountains in 1901, and has never seen his homeland, Micciliak. He was raised by his father Ansel, after his mother was killed by hunters. He is very strong and eager to become a guardian. He trains vigorously awaiting the day he becomes one. Even though he has been around for 85 years, he is still considered young among his clan. Because of the Age Stone, he is like an eighteen-year-old. With no others his age in the clan, he too, longs for a friend. He routinely sneaks down to the valleys and watches from the shadows. He particularly likes to watch the happenings at the Circle C Ranch.
Zebadiah McKinney
(Crazy Zeb)
Hillbilly from Tennessee
A hermit, Zeb is a fun-loving mountain man, with an animated personality. His slow southern draw, keeps those near him wanting to hear more. He
inherited his cabin and land from his uncle Amos. With it, came a worthless goldmine. Coming to Montana when he was still young, he dreamed of striking it rich. After getting to know the Miccilians, he gave up the dream of being rich. Up until recently, he was the only man that the Miccilians could trust. Zeb has become a bit of a legend himself. The townsfolk of Broken Spur had given him the name, Crazy Zeb, because of his tall tales of magical giants in the Dires. Don't let his accent fool you though. He's a very educated man.
He met Nate Sanders (Nathans dad) on the train ride up to Broken Spur.
Elec & Flora Clancy
Paula's Parents
Elec & Flora live and work the ranch that Elec grew up on. It was love at first sight when they met at the Ranch & Farm Supply store that her parents owned. Flora is Native American Cheyenne, while Elec is white. Elec is a jokester, where Flora is more serious. Their love for each other assures Paula that true love does exist.

Dawson Johnson
Neal's son/Love interest of Paula
A quiet and polite eighteen-year-old, he has a muscular physique and is an expert marksman. Dawson grew up in the outskirts of Chicago. After witnessing him being bullied as a child, a neighbor, a Brazilion Jujitsu Master, taught him Jujitsu. After his dad and mom divorced, he stayed with his mom until he graduated high school. After school, he went to Broken Spur, MT. to be with his dad. Always being the loner, he didn't have any friends, until he came to Broken Spur and met Paula.
Alex Billings
Sheriff/ Megs County, Montana
Alex is a calm man who does what's right, but he does have a breaking point to where he is blinded by rage. He has been in law enforcement for sixteen years. Six of them, as the Sheriff of Megs County. Alex has somewhat of a dark past. He got a bit of a reputation among his platoon in Vietnam. He would charge into any situation without fear. Because of him being Sioux, his buddies nicknamed him Bull. After getting injured, he became a gunner on a Huey helicopter. After returning home and still nothing resolved in his parent's murders, he decided to pursue law enforcement, and vowed to find the person responsible for his parents' death. When he found them, the rage took over.
